Yamaha FZR250
Rougher than it looks in the pictures. Bargain price.
As I say the pictures do flatter this bike. Bodywork has had some repairs although much original paintwork survives and the tank is remarkably good. Some hand painting of white wheels and mirrors lift it’s looks and the engine is a bit noisy at low revs. Previously owned by Steve Cooper and much spent on carb cleaning, valve shimming and other work, none of which is documented but the old carb parts prove they have been done including the rubber manifold connectors. Steve says this bike was running well when it left him, and the Steve Cooper who sold it to me (yes, another one) said it was good but it sounds a little rattly to me and I haven’t had the time or inclination to get into it so trading it out at cost. Spares available include new tyres £90, exhaust downpipes and collector including Exup valve £90. There are some new brake pads and a box of the old parts recently changed which go with the bike. Needs some work to make it nice but it’s a racy little package.
