A lovely machine we know well and pleased to say it is returning to  market for only the second time since 1987. This is what we said a couple of years ago when we last sold it…

A rare blue UK Mk1 LeMans, one owner since 1987 who has covered 10,000 (of the 24,000 recorded miles) in his ownership and every MOT certificate is on file to support this. The last two owners at least were Guzzi owners club members (there are seven former keepers) and it shows in the specification. Big 40mm carbs, deep sump, rear-sets, cartridge fork conversion, final-drive -breather and some lovely little touches like the home-engineered rocker cover guards are to be found all over. The mechanically excellent engine starts instantly on the button (it’s a Honda button actually – one of the few non-original parts), idles perfectly, revs cleanly and smoothly without smoke and the sound…oh the sound… is like no other. This bike has been home-serviced by an engineer owner so there isn’t a documented service history but the bike speaks for itself and comes with workshop manuals. Recent service work includes a full valve service, brake system overhaul with new pistons seals and braided lines and new tyres fitted to refurbished wheels. Lovely to look at, absolutely top spec and condition and it really is quite the nicest 850 LeMans we have ridden. Numbers confirm it’s a real one of course, first registered in the UK 21/11/1977. This really is a sweet second series Mk1 LeMans.

Currently showing 24,885 miles and available to buy now.
