Yamaha RD400
A rather nice and very rideable RD400 in what I think is the absolute best colour/wheel combo (only because a dear friend of mine had the exact same one from new in 1977). Comes from a good reputable source with a very recently rebuilt bottom end and a top end that has been done in the past and appears to have done very little since. It’s a german import and retains the tell-tale longer rear mudguard which is nice. MPH clocks and UK registered on a correct age related number, restored to some degree but not a nut and bolt job and all the nicer for it in our opinion. The paintwork is not to show standard but is very pretty in speedblock yellow and black as you can see. Some age related patina and some little dings and scrapes here and there but the important parts are correct. Numbers match and are factory stamps for sure, silencers are the correct numbers although the right one shows signs of a very slow speed spill (not obviously on this machine), seat is rebuilt and re-covered, frame largely original paint, it’s a nice honest machine. Sounds good and so much fun to ride, as they always were.
