Manx rolling chassis
A nice collection of genuine Norton and Manx parts fitted to a featherbed frame; a good replica of unknown make; making a very attractive rolling chassis for a Manx project late 1950s or early 1960s. We’ve had a number of expert opinions on the likely origins and provenance of what you see here but nothing conclusive enough for me to describe it with confidence so I’ll leave it to you to look and make your own mind up. The frame is numbered but it looks like an attempt to road-register it rather than a factory stamp. Fuel tank is alloy and has the cutout rear-right for carb intake. The complete rolling chassis as you see it here was a garage find from a long-term owner who sadly wasn’t in a position to tell us when or where he acquired it. There is a genuine Manx gearbox (case confirmed, contents not examined yet) to be sold separately so the obvious opportunity is to fit a new engine and build a complete Manx to your own specification. Happy to provide more details or pictures on request, come and see it if you can, what you see is what you get.
