Very original unrestored low mileage machine with fairing fitted from new.

First registered in Sweden in 1981, this timewarp example of Yamaha’s iconic “Elsie” had only covered just over 2k miles from new having spent most of her life unused. The first owner had the bike for less than a year, the second owner used it from April 1982 to November 1988 and since then it has been stored inside for over 27 years! The third owner bought it in January 2016 and recommissioned it in his spare time over the course of a year or so. The sympathetic restoration got it all working but left the original paintwork untouched and included carburettor clean/rebuild with new jets and gaskets, new crankshaft oil seals, all fluids and filters changed, plugs leads and caps and new tyres. The inside of the fuel tank was cleaned inside but the outside is the original paint. Lots of other rubber parts and fittings were replaced to bring it up to this standard but even the exhausts were left with their original paint on. Rides like a new one. With ace-bars and race fairing of course. This bike will be registered on a correct age-related number for the new owner who will be the first UK keeper on the V5C.
