Fully rebuilt to Triumph Factory Thruxton Racing Specification.

Here now and absolutely lovely! A matching engine and frame no. Triumph T120 Bonneville which was recently (2009) fully rebuilt to Thruxton spec. with the help of Thruxton specialist George Hopwood. The engine was built – and has been maintained – by Hopwood, and features new 9-1 pistons, bearings, seals, gaskets, a reground crank with new shells, R&R billet con-rods, Spitfire cams with 3′ racing followers, new 4 speed close-ratio gear box and new rubber-mounted concentric carbs. Belt primary drive, 16 plate racing clutch, SRM billet pressure plate and Boyer electronic ignition with a gel battery. It has a Thruxton exhaust system and bars with alloy levers, alloy rims, stainless spokes, Avon tyres, rear-set footrests, prop stand and a lovely custom-made paddock stand. TLS front brake has been skimmed and re-lined and fitted with a race air scoop. Hagon rear shocks, Avon fairing, alloy tank with Monza cap, Thruxton single seat, rear sets, taper roller steering head bearings, new swing arm bearings, race spec front forks have been shortenend and re-valved and the oil tank and side panel have been “scooped” to look the part. The engine work gives improved power without running the risks of anything much more radical than blueprinting, so this machine offers a very desireable mix of performance and reliability.
It comes fully road legal and with an MOT to June 2016. It’s been to a fair few classics meetings; including the Isle of Man Classic TT, and it won at 2012’s Thunderfest at Darley Moor!
There is a workshop manual and parts books, and a box of spares including 46 and 48 tooth rear sprockets.
