Honda CB550 Four
Back in stock now and carbs have been stripped, cleaned and rebuilt at Classic Bike Workshop. Timing and carburettor balance is spot-on so all good and ready to ride. This is a good original US model, stunning in metal flake orange and with a genuine Honda exhaust system in superb condition. This bike has featured in the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine, ridden by Chris Moss who absolutely loved it. The engine sounds lovely, well serviced and well looked after. One sidepanel is cracked and the engine has lost some paint but otherwise very nice indeed. This is the model we had in the UK as the 500 Four but it became a 550 in the States, retaining the iconic four silencer system but moving to the later and larger instruments. Post-recommissioning test rides have been a joy, it’s got a heavy clutch so probably has the upgraded springs and perhaps a return to standard could be considered in the future but this bike reminds me of how well the mid-sized Honda fours behave on the road. These are new pictures and video so you’re up to date.
