Very rare one-year-only competition framed Sprung Hub Tiger 100C in restored condition.

First registered in the UK in Belfast and retaining it’s original Northern Ireland registration mark, this fine matching numbers example of the rare racing Tiger 100 has only had two owners since finding a home on the mainland in 1998. The old log book is on file, as is the V5 and V5C along with some old tax discs, MOT certificates and other historical documents. The documents of most interest to any prospective buyer may be the extensive hand written notes by the legendary Hughie Hancox detailing a full engine rebuild in 2003, since when it has recorded only 600 miles so just run in. These notes cover eight pages and specifically detail the work done on this machine and they confirm the excellent condition of the engine. We note that the timing gears are a little noisy which is consistent with the comments in Hughie’s notes, and the twin carbs are Monoblocs with a lovely but not original remote float bowl. You can clearly see the mounting points for rear-set footrests on the rear frame which is one of the unique features of this rare model; notes on file suggest only 373 made in total. An older restoration now and some cracking to the black paint around the front forks is evident.
