BSA A7 Star Twin
A fine example of a very rare model; BSA’s Maudes Trophy winning 500cc Star Twin.
This is the actual machine featured in the CSB logo, one of the first motorcycles sold by us and very welcome home after over five years away in good hands. She returns with a concentric carb fitted for econimical road use and the original twin carburettors are still with the bike, in working order ready to reinstate should the next owner ask us to do so. Hardly any miles covered since the top end was rebuilt by ourselves, so the bike has very healthy compression, starts easily and pulls healthily without smoke or any unexpected noises from the engine. This is an older restoration and has some chips to the powder coating, a bit of silver paint lifted from the centres of the wheel rims in places but overall in excellent condition throughout. Lots of history including the old log book, copies of old V5s, lots of invoices for parts, old MOTs and tax discs and it’s taxed until April 2014. The seats have been replaced recently; the old one remains with it. A new (better) gearbox has been installed in the last five years and again the original is with it. Runs well, looks lovely and so rarely seen nowadays so attracts attention wherever you go.
