Low mileage unrestored UK machine in fine fettle.

An excellent example of Laverda’s iconic triple, first registered on 2nd August 1982 on a “new” Y registration. The last owner is well known to CSB and this machine returns in exchange for another exotic Italian machine to be ridden and respected. There were only five previous owners and the one previous bought the bike in 2013 from a knowledgeable and experienced Laverda man, who himself bought it from a private collection in Northern Ireland where it had been displayed but not ridden for a quarter of a century! He immediately set about recommissioning the bike and engaged classic Laverda specialists; GCS Motor Cycle Services; to do the engine work. The invoice is on file for over £1,000 showing nothing was left to chance. Valve clearances, new timing and primary chains just to be sure, carbs rebuilt with new rubber manifolds fitted and of course battery, fuel hoses and all the little details that make a difference when riding. The almost de-facto Laverda fitment of a Moto Witt electronic ignition system was also deemed necessary and having fitted the system to Jotas in the past our workshop thoroughly concurs with that decision. This work was completed with 13,183 km on the clock and as you can see it’s covered little since. And hence the reason for sale: it just wasn’t getting ridden enough and with other projects on the go it was time for this one to move on. Still running smoothly and reliably, checked out by Classic Bike Workshop and ready for the road again. Fitted with stainless Jota silencers, sounds lovely. Other than that conditon is remarkably original and unmolested, just the way we like it. MOTd and ready to go.
