Norton Commander
Very very low mileage example of Norton’s water-cooled rotary.
Unrestored and unmolested 3,374 miles only example of Norton’s finest water-cooled twin-rotor Commander. The V5C shows only four former keepers since first registration in the UK on 1st August 1989 and the small collection of old MOTs suggest the mileage is correctly recorded. It has also; we are told; been “mollied” although no early history is present and the service book hasn’t come to light yet but this is being checked. Owners’ Club contacts, a bit of investigation and some expert fettling will reveal more but it looks and sounds like a very good honest machine. Condition is exceptionally good and consistent with the low mileage, although close inspection reveals a couple of small repairs suggesting it’s been dropped on the left side when stationery. Other than that it’s all original paintwork and finish, matching numbers of course and complete with original handbook and keys. We will have this machine running super-sweet for the next owner and maybe he/she will put a few more miles on the clock!
