The Performance Bikes GSXR750 featured in the magazine.

Slabsided GSXR750s don’t come up for sale so often and this one has some interesting history so this is worth a look. We are on the trail of the Performance Bikes articles and hope to speak to Matt Wildee of the magazine, who’s name appears on the V5C as one of three former keepers since UK registration in 2002. An Italian import with the clock in KPH, all UK registered on a correct age-related plate (readys DYNO but not transferrable), MOTd and ready to ride or perhaps it’s a rolling restoration? The engine sounds good with 62k km (about 36k miles) on the clock so it’s almost certainly had some work in the recent past but nothing on file to confirm this. The Gibson exhaust sounds superb too, and everything works as it should. Old MOTs confirm little use in the last five years but it has been maintained and MOTd regularly. Condition is best described as average for no other reason than the bike has some light damage from what was probably a very low speed drop on the left side. You can see fairing bodywork scuffs and cracks: nothing more than superficial and the bike rides straight but it is tatty in places. From a few paces a way and in the pictures it looks like at better than average example of the iconic Gixer 750 but in truth it could do with some tidying. Priced accordingly, no show winner but a true GSXR750 in the right colours and ready to ride.
