Triumph T120
One owner from new until it was imported to the UK from Sweden by us in 2016 and one owner since then. The original condition of this machine is quite staggering and with a document file including the owners handbook, original sales invoice dated 2nd April 1970 and various other documents; in Swedish of course; it’s a really rare find. This machine has covered less than 20,000 miles from new! The matching engine and frame numbers are correctly T120 not T120R and we have a dating certificate from TOMCC to confirm. It’s a T120 and the mudguards were swapped to R spec stainless from new at the customer’s request so it remains exactly as it was sold. This benchmark machine does not require restoration. We don’t often get the opportunity to see original seats with the grab-rail attached, original “top hat” air filters and all the fittings which so often get lost or replaced are be there and as sharp-edged as when they left the factory. It even has a tool kit under the seat. So, very rare unrestored factory-fresh specification with matching numbers and documented history.
In the last four years the bike has covered only a few hundred miles and been treated to a rebuilt speedo in mph (odo set to the correct 19k miles), rebuilt forks, new rear shocks, electronic ignition and new Amal Premier Concentric carburettors. On returning to stock we decided to give it a new lease of life so it’s currently in the workshop for a complete top-end rebuild. The bottom end is in lovely condition and requires no attention whatsoever, it’s as nice inside as it is outside, showing signs only of wear, not mistreatment. When we add a video it will be one of the quietest healthiest 650 twins you’ll find because we will bore to the first oversize and fit new Hepolite pistons, rings, gudgeon pins, valves and guides. New pushrod tube seals and gaskets will ensure an oil-free exterior and it will be shake-down road tested before the new owner takes delivery. August 2021 delivery is anticipated for this very special Bonneville so call now and put your name on it if you like original unrestored ready-to-ride classics.
