Completely restored and rebuilt 650cc “Street Scrambler”, road ready.

The distinctive new exhaust guard introduced on the TR6C in 1969 is often referred to as the “chip basket” style for obvious reasons, and this iconic Triumph trademark can be seen on the 500 twins too, although somewhat out of proportion compared to the rather attractive version seen on this 650. This superb matching numbers machine has been the subject of a genuine “nut and bolt” restoration and rebuild, sparing no expense or detail to arrive at the result you see and hear here. The engine is not fully run in since the complete rebuild using top quality parts but the bike has been fully recommissioned in our workshops after a long spell of infrequent use as part of a cherished collection of rare and beautiful British Classics. Sensibly restored to Trophy spec, the bike is fitted with full charging electrics, new 12v battery and ignition key. The bike retains (new) points ignition which have been set up accurately with a strobe to give perfect sparks in the perfect places. The front forks have been serviced recently with the addition of progressive springs for a smoother ride. The fuelling has then been set correctly and the bike test ridden to confirm all is correct. And it is. Paperwork all correct, such that it is, and the V5C confirms engine and frame number DU88354 and the right age-related registration has been issued. Really nice and a bit different.
