Not for the faint hearted or legged! Very special XT Supermoto style roadster.

Yamaha XT special hand built for himself by the renowned John McGrath and hardly used since, so it’s a very fresh engine. This bike kick-starts reliably once the correct technique is mastered, idles smoothly and pulls very strongly indeed. John’s engine builds are very highly regarded and this one has a number of attractive features. He’s built the crank using a standard con-rod but it’s bored and fitted with a Omega piston giving 625cc and 10.7:1 compression, special valves from the USA and high-lift cams timed for a wide spread of torque. The engine is fed by a pair of large diameter CR racing carburettors and breathes out through a hand-built tuned exhaust system. Power is up from about 29hp as standard to around 50hp in useable output here. White power rear suspension and Race-Tech front forks. Massive stopping power from the fully floating front disc and twin-piston brakes. The rest you can see: specially built wheels and sticky rubber, restored from the frame up; every nut and bolt. Long MOT and ready to ride. V5C and all paperwork in order, four former keepers recorded. It would probably cost well over twice the advertised price to build one to this spec.
