AJS Model 20
Clearly restored to a high standard but with no documents that we can find so may need registering and will need recommissioning to an unknown degree. Frame number A5413 and engine number 54/2018332 tell you all you need to know, clearly factory stamps and may be matching numbers (likely knowing the last owner but not actually researched by us at this stage). This is a lovely example of AJS’ 500 twin which hasn’t suffered too badly in storage but little is known of its provenance or mechanical condition. At this price you take it as you see it and you are very welcome to come and see it for yourself and make your own assessment. Looks like an opportunity perhaps to own a beautiful machine without spending a fortune on new parts.
This machine is one of a cherished collection of motorcycles owned, fettled and ridden by a local gentleman, sadly now departed. I personally rode with him on classic runs and always admired his machines and the man himself, so proud to have the privilege of finding new homes for his classic bikes. In this case the bike is offered for sale as seen from storage requiring recommissioning and road registering. We can help with these processes if asked but it is offered here as a project looking for an enthusiast who possibly wants to get into classic British twins at a price level not usually possible.
