A good example of BSA’s popular and quite rare sports 350cc single.

This lovely SS90 has clearly had lots of mechanical and cosmetic attention although the only bills on file are for a recent new coil and battery. The paintwork is pretty good all round, as is the chrome with the exception of the front wheel, which is an original item and could be re-chromed to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the bike. Mechanically it starts easily, idles smoothly and runs very well on the road without undue smoke, vibration, noise or oil leaks. The seat has been re-covered correctly in red for the SS90 and the bike has survived in very good original specification.

First registered on 1st July 1964, XGR 891 has a V5C Registration Document suggesting only 2 former keepers and there is a copy of the old V5 which suggests this may actually be the case although the original old buff log book is not on file so history pre-1982 is not recorded here. The strenght of this bike is that whilst it appears to have done very little work recently, it has been used regularly and everything works as it should. All round a lovely little Beezer single for the lanes or Classic Bike Runs, ready for the road with a new MOT for the new owner.
