BSA C15
Mechanically excellent, an older restoration with character and patina.
Remember how good these bikes were with regular use and fettling? Remember when a restoration involved a few weekends with a rattle-can and some black enamel touch-up? Well this lovely 250cc BSA single ticks these boxes and tickles those memories. The engine looks and performs like it’s been rebuilt with some skill and knowledge; it’s certainly the quietest C15 motor we have ever heard. It was fitted with an Avon fairing of the pointy handlebar type, will get a picture added in case you want it re-fitted but it’s prettier without. Everything works, stand holds the wheels off the ground and the tank is in remarkably good original condition inside and out. The bike has some manuals and paperwork, no old log book or MOTs but it will come with a new MOT certificate. Three former keepers on the V5C, the last for 14 years was a real gentleman and it looks like matching numbers (need to check) and original registration. This is a lovely back lanes bimbler, full of character and patina with a clean, quiet strong engine. Good for riding and well worth restoring one day but there is no rush is there? Not with a C15 there isn’t.
