Matchless G3L
A very good Matchless 350cc single; an older restoration with lots of powder coating and original rims.
Previously sold by CSB and known to be an excellent machine. This nice original Matchless G3L looks like an older restoration which involved re-building and refurbishing original parts rather than replacing with new. Consequently we have a nice old thing rich in character and showing patina normally associated with an unrestored machine. The good news is that lots of original parts have survived including the Dunlop rims. The engine starts easily, runs clean and smoke free and the dynamo has just been rebuilt so charging is very strong. Not a lot of history on file but there are some old MOTs and the registration document confirms WTA 245 was first registered in the UK on the 14th March 1957. Frame no. A49506 and engine no. 33039. Looks and rides like a good unmolested example of this excellent 350cc single, ready to provide enjoyable classic motorcycling with the emphasis on reliability rather than performance.
