Triumph T120C
A benchmark example of Triumph’s T120C “TT Special” restored beautifully to the rarest of all the “Desert Sleds” spec which is of course the one with lights. Which also makes it the most practical to ride in the UK and it is registered with a V5C and correct age-related registration number. This machine; matching numbers DU17000; was exported to Tri-Cor in the USA as an off-road racing machine as was the purpose of every T120C model. The restoration and rebuild was carried out by one of the best in the business in 2009/10 and it has covered very few miles since then. Just emerged from Classic Bike Workshop as a beautiful working Bonneville, ready to ride and show, it has been thoroughly recommissioned, serviced and test-ridden by ourselves. Recent restorative work includes a complete electrical overhaul which not only hides the electronic ignition nicely but protects the integrity of this rare model by utilising standard specification switchgear and lighting equipment. The fuel tank has just been lined with ethanol-resistant preservative and the exterior paintwork has just been renewed too. Everything works as well as it looks. A comprehensive document file contains restoration invoices, dating certificates and some MOTs.
