Velocette Venom
An easy starting Velocette Venom! Lots spent but little time on the road recently so eager to be ridden.
Just recommissioned in the CSB workshop, this rather lovely Venom has come up nicely in terms of look and feel. Recent investment in new parts include over £550 for a new BTH Flange Magneto to provide ultra strong and reliable sparks, and as you can see the wheels have been rebuilt as part of a complete cosmetic restoration over a long period of time. The engine sounds very sweet indeed, emitting a smooth whine from the modern mag but absolutely no rattles, knocks or undue oil or smoke when warm. There is a large history file with invoices from RF Seymour and others, a collection of old MOT certificates and related documents. The last owner had the bike for almost 20 years and there are extensive ownership notes on file, but there has been a numbers mix up with registration documents in the past; now corrected on the new V5C. There is a dating certificate from the Velocette Owners Club stating that frame number RS13810 left the factory in 1960, the engine number is VM3672.
