First registered on 2nd October 1962 and still retaining all those original numbers: frame, engine and registration ALB 133A although a plate isn’t fitted. It’s been built to be used and it has been ridden successfully in three or four events since a complete restoration. This was a no-expense-spared restoration and the price reflects what’s gone into it and the quality of the resulting machine. This is a competition machine, not a looky-likey woods bike. The bike and the builder are well known to CSB and credentials don’t come much higher, it’s been built with skill and care and only ridden by the restorer’s son; an expert trials rider. Oh and I had a go on it too and it is lovely. The full engine rebuild included new big-end and main bearings, rebore and new piston, camshaft bushes and everything to make it exactly right. The gearbox is a proper AMC trials box, the fuel tank is alloy and in lovely condition inside and out. Stainless spokes on alloy rims, stainless fittings abound. The frame is standard except the footpegs have been moved back a little. Suspension is not standard, lets say, it works more like a modern bike. Altogether lovely. Don’t be afraid to get it dirty.
