Benelli 750 Sei
Less than 400 miles from new, a superb example of Benelli’s original “six”.
Only 653 kilometers from new, now recommissioned and UK registered, having spent it’s life in a dusty warehouse in Qatar up until 2012. It was imported with only 260km on the clock and the two UK owners have put the rest on between them. The engine sounds like new because it is, but it doesn’t look like new as you can see. Storage in less than perfect conditions has taken it’s toll on condition and for this reason the frame has been powder coated, a replacement set of beautiful exhausts has been fitted and the paintwork has been renewed in Rosso Chiaro – Ferrari red. Currently MOTd and ready to ride, it starts the instant the button is pressed or the lever kicked and runs smoothly without smoke or noise, just like new. Clearly there is an opportunity to go further with the restoration work; the main areas to focus on being silver paintwork on engine and wheel ancilliary parts like the rear brake plate; and to this end the original exhaust system comes with the bike! It’s solid (one weld repair noted but looks like it accessed a loose baffle rather than repaired corrosion) and looks like it would easily (if not cheaply) re-chrome. It’s quite stunning as it is and rides well so an ideal riders machine with it’s whole life ahead of it in terms of mileage, or the basis for continued restoration to add to a collection of rare low-mileage classics.
