Foggy’s CCM Flat Tracker

Foggy’s actual bike, previously owned by CCM Motorcycles, #007 of 120.

One owner and only 538 miles from new in 2006, and 535 of those miles were covered in four-times World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty’s capable hands. The bullet-proof Suzuki DRZ400 engine has been fitted with a big-bore 436cc kit for this model and it was serviced by the factory in November 2006 when Carl handed it back with 535 miles on the clock. There is plenty of history with this bike despite the newness of it. A signed picture of Carl and Michaela Fogarty on their “his and hers” bikes accompanies letters from Austin Clews (Clews Competition Motorcycles) attesting to the bikes provenance and the engine specification. The cover of the Owners Handbook is entitled “Carly Fogarty – FT35S 436cc” and inside it’s signed by Austin Clews to confirm frame, engine and registration numbers with the additional wording “CCM Demo for Carl Fogarty. Motorcycle build for an don loan to Carl Fogarty”. There is a handwritten and signed note from Austin in the back of the handbook…”Note – this motorcycle was built for and on loan to Carl Fogarty – number 007 of 120″ and the first service stamp is also signed by Clews on 30th November 2006 noting 535 miles. I know we’re banging on about Foggy a lot but it’s significant that this was a bike with his name on from new; literally it’s a Foggy Flat Tracker; and it’s the bike he owned and rode himself and it’s the bike in all the pictures in the magazines of the time of the launch. Rarely is star ownership so well documented and the bike is completely unchanged since he owned it. This bike was sold for about this price new, has been sold twice since then for a similar price and is offered here at a price which is likely to prove a very good investment. TT02 FOG registration comes with it too!
The bike itself has just been recommissioned with a full carburettor clean and general inspection by Classic Bike Workshop. Starts on the button and sounds lovely. Looks and sounds like new as you would expect with so few miles on the clock. MOTd and ready to go!
